Why is wound care important to you?

After having an operation recently which resulted in an open wound, and being told to treat it with dry gauze for six weeks, and visit my GP if it got infected, I realised just how far we still have to go in wound care to get a good standard of treatment across the country in all clinical areas. Also, it pays the bills!
