New sterile spray can assist dressing removal even on fragile and sensitive skin

18th February 2015

Appeel Sterile silicone medical adhesive remover is now available in a 100ml spray version. This size has been especially developed for community nurses, helping to remove adhesive appliances including dressings and urinary sheaths for single patient, multi-use application. The spray utilises new bag-on-valve technology, which ensures there is no cold sensation on the skin when applied — the contents remain sterile for the life of the product and it can be sprayed at any angle.

Appeel Sterile helps to reduce periwound trauma, risk of infection, skin stripping and pain by facilitating quick and easy dressing removal. The silicone fluid is not metabolised by the skin and has no impact on wound healing, and so the product range is suitable for use on any wound type and both broken and intact skin.

Appeel Sterile spray along with the whole range is available now on prescription or via NHS Supply Chain. For more information contact the CliniMed Careline 0800 036 0100 or visit
