The hospital that's making money out of moisturiser and ploughing the profits back into patient care

Daily Mail, 16 April 2013

A sunflower-oil based cream produced for over 20 years by the pharmacy at Salisbury District Hospital for patients with skin grafts and burns is to become commercially available, due to its popularity with clinicians and patients. The product, My Trusty Little Sunflower Cream, will be sold to the public for £6.99 per tube, via the hospital website, with all profits reinvested into patient care. The venture will make Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust the first to sell a product for profit.
